Arrive early to your first class...

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to class to become acquainted with the studio, fill out registration and get settled in. We begin every class in Shavasana (yoga's relaxation pose) and it takes a moment to allow your body and mind to make the transition and slow down.

Dress comfortably in something you can move...

Please dress in comfortable clothing that you can easily stretch and move in. Also, be sure to dress in layers…it helps to be able to regulate your own body temperature. Although I strive to keep the classroom a comfortable setting, you may run warmer or cooler depending on your constitution.

What to bring...

The studio provides all the props you will need for class. You will not even need a mat. You may want to bring a covered water bottle to stay hydrated. Otherwise, just bring yourself and an open mind!

Create an intention...

To help focus, you may find it helpful to dedicate your practice to a certain intention. This might be to become more aware, understanding, compassionate, healthy, strong or skillful. Or it might be for the benefit of a friend, a cause or even yourself. You may also want to create the intention to create the time in your life to do yoga classes…usually it is beneficial to attend classes for at least 4 weeks.
