Time For You Yoga in Cumberland, RI is hosting a special workshop - Introduction to Svaroopa® Yoga - on Sunday, October 18th from 1 - 2:30pm. This hour and a half class is an opportunity to experience a yoga that is compassionate, gentle and supports your body where it's at. Learn how to use thick, plush blankets and other props to do poses that open and decompress your spinal muscles resulting in a new way of being in your own body. In this course you will be able to try some of the poses and ask questions about this unique style of yoga. Svaroopa® yoga is for all levels of practitioner - from the beginner to experienced student - and incorporates the "yin" and "yang" sides of asana (pose) practice and pranayama (breath work) safe and easy for all students. Participants will also get a chance to meet the studio's Certified Svaroopa® yoga teacher, Natalie Schiffer (CSYT 700, RYT 500, E-RYT 200), sharing her passion and knowledge about this beautiful yoga practice.
Please arrive about 10-15 minutes prior to the start time to get settled in. We provide a small studio space to allow hands-on, individual attention and all props are provided. Dress comfortably in loose clothing you can move in and you may bring a closed water bottle. Participants must also be able to get up and down off the floor unassisted.
